hello world,
it's busy busy busy busy busy week(s). i think since i've been back, that's all i've been saying. i think that's life of a Singaporean. i gotta stop whining about being so busy and embrace my mad hatter's life!
i need to finish an essay by Tuesday, but i am hoping to finish it by tomorrow so i can spend Monday refining it and doing my projects. the module is Culture Industries, and i've decided to write on chick lit. but i'm so smart, i threw away my chick lit readings from my course in Germany so now i've no materials. plus there's not much substantial literature on chick lit, because it hasn't been as explored as topics like reality TV or Star wars as a cultural product for example. i'm going crazy cos' i can't find an angle to write on. i'm directionless, a situation i always find myself in.

momoteapots and emails are trickling in very slowly because i've just changed the mailing list system to Bravenet (recommended by SK! thanks!). previously, Gmail banned like 6 of our accounts, because our mass email to our mailing listees were regarded as SPAM. as a result, about 100-200 emails per account bounced back?! and top it all off with a bitter rotten cherry, all those accounts got disabled by Gmail. RARRRHHH. i had to re-setup my gmail mailing accounts, and then re-add alllllll my subscribers to the Bravenet system. and because Bravenet has this "double opt-in" policy, we have to wait for subscribers to confirm their email before they can receive our mails :( so...i suspect we only managed to reach out to about 200+ people with the news on our update this evening. am very sad but have no choice.
last week we were at Fashion in the Sky, an event organised by pretty amazing people :) It was a fashion show + bazaar to showcase local designers and blogshops! it was very awesome! check out the photos of our booth and our models! heh. Jien and Liming came to visit us and i met a few friends there as well. the heat that day was awful baking hot! i was in such a bad mood initially, plus i fell down carrying the luggage to the rooftop (big fat bruise still on my knee) then WY and I decided to brave the heat to walk to Plaza Sing and get...BUBBLE TEA! we've discovered a new flavour that's yumsome i tell you (thanks to momogoh). try Strawberry Green Tea!

am Skype-ing with WY now. he's at his grandma's house while i'm lying down on my bed looking pretty crappy and his little cousin said,"she looks like she's sick!" hahaha. he's going to kill me for putting the next photo, because he looks like mr. chubbyfats there.
Skype is the most awesome software ever.

NO wait! i need to share with you all this video of one of the most awesome musicals ever. been hooked on it since Siying facebook-ed about her just watching it in London. am missing much the Europe days :( i wish i watched more musicals when i was in London though.
see the gloves on my lap? after i entered the theatre, i realised one side was missing. and when we went out to look for it again it was gone. can't believe i took a photo of the moment it went missing. hahaha
